EADV course: Bacterial Infections of the Skin

This course will present a general overview on bacterial infections of the skin with 3 main outlines: 1) Update on the importance of microbiome and epidemiology; 2) main bacterial infections including common skin infections as impetigo, cellulitis and STDs or less common as necrotizing fasciitis, borreliosis/rickettsial infections and mycobacterial infections, leprosy or other tropical infections; 3) problems in diagnosis and antibioresistance. The learners will be able to share the clinical reasoning necessary for managing optimally bacterial infections they will encounter in their current and next practice.
The course will alternate classical presentations and interactive sessions with slides analysis, case-based diagnostic and therapeutic discussions.
Each participant will have to prepare BEFORE the course a very short case (3 min presentation + 2 min discussion) and send it to Education coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org before 12 January 2020.
